Annual Chamber Golf Outing
Held in August and hosted at the Glenview Park Golf Club, this annual day on the green is a fun way to play a round of golf and connect with other local business leaders and learn about new businesses. Styled as a scramble, your foursome will play the course, taking the best of each shot to play your next swing. Each year the Golf Committee brings fun stations on the course to keep the event feeling fresh and new. Some stations in the past have been a golf ball launcher, mega putt, and vodka lemonades. All skill levels are welcome to participate and single golfers will be placed together to create a foursome. Non-golfers can get tickets just for the dinner and also try to win some of our raffle basket prizes. Sponsorships are available to members to have an activation station on the golf course, to have hole sponsor signage, to put together a raffle basket, or place items in the golfer swag bag. Volunteer opportunities are available to help at check-in.
Bites & Brews
In April, this taste of Glenview brings some of the best restaurants, brewers, and wine shops all in one place at The Glen Club. Open to chamber members and the public, this is a must attend event for any foodie. The Glenview Chamber works with restaurants to provide a wide range of tastings, being sure there is something for everyone to enjoy. In addition to food and drink, participants can purchase raffle tickets to try and win the “Dining Around Town” or “Booze Basket” which has gift cards to the participating restaurants and samples of the brews and wines. This event sells out each year, so it is strongly encouraged to purchase tickets in advance on the chamber’s website. Volunteer opportunities are available to help at check-in and the raffle table. Thank you to long time sponsors The Glen Club and Glenview Bank & Trust.
Glenview Volunteer Fair
Taking place during early Spring/Summer, the Glenview Chamber of Commerce works with the Glenview Public Library to bring together local non-profits and connect them to potential volunteers. Held annually, this event has proven to be a success in matching dedicated volunteers with organizations that match their interests to create lasting partnerships. The chamber and library work together to ensure there is a wide range of opportunities that meet potential volunteers’ needs. At the event, participants receive a “passport” that they can have the non-profits mark for a chance to win prizes.
Summer Fest & Summer Fest After Sunset
For over 50 years, Summer Fest has been a staple for Glenview families in June. This event during the day features local vendors and businesses, food, and kid friendly activities that the whole family can enjoy. There is a special kid zone for family friendly businesses and vendors, as well as fun activities happening in Jackman Park. During the evening, the fest is transformed into live music, food, and cold drinks for sale to enjoy with family, friends, and colleagues. Sponsorships are available at a variety of levels and volunteer opportunities are open for assistance for set up, selling tickets, and more.
Holiday in the Park & Parade
A winter favorite, this event kicks off the holiday season the Saturday after Thanksgiving. This is Glenview businesses’ give back to the community as a thank you for shopping local all year long. The event is free to come out and enjoy the holiday magic. Starting out with a short parade that begins at OLPH Church, the parade ends at Jackman Park for more festivities. With free cookies and hot chocolate, kiddie train, hayride, and a meeting with Santa, it is a family fun event sure to make lasting memories. Sponsorships are available for event sponsors, kiddie train ride, hayride, and cookie donation. Volunteer opportunities are available to collect cookie donations, manage lines, and more.
