Dear Fellow Chamber Members,

 As you probably already know, Kathy Miles, the Chamber's President has resigned and will be leaving the Chamber next month.  We are sad to see Kathy go.  However, after giving the Chamber 28 years of service, we have to understand Kathy's decision and let her pursue her desires for the next stage of her life.  It will not be easy to fill her shoes.  Kathy has graciously offered to stay for an additional period of time as we search to fill her position.   As a Chamber member, you should know that the Board of Directors for the Chamber is actively moving to address the opening.  This is a very important position and while we want to move quickly, it is essential that we find the right candidate.  Given the economic conditions, it seems likely that there will be many qualified applicants interested in the job. A search committee has been formed and has already met to initiate the process.  We will keep you informed as the search progresses.  If you know of a qualified candidate, please do not hesitate to bring them to our attention.  If you have questions regarding the process or suggestions to make, I would welcome your call.  I can be reached at 847-724-2745 during business hours. I am sure you join me in wishing the best for Kathy and thank her all she has done for the Glenview Chamber.  Thank you for your patience and ideas as we look for the right person to lead us forward.
